It comes from Magoutes, the old vineyard above Siatista in Greek Macedonia that Dimitrios Diamantis's grandfather hand grafted more than a century ago; Dimitrios used that genetic material in the 1990s to replant 18 hectares, and he is now pushing to make Siatista Greece's fifth Xinomavro based appellation.
